Christopher Banke was only 15 when he discovered passion for dog training. It happened when he founded the Algemeiner Schutzhund Club, which was about the time a more experienced trainer took an interest and helped him focus his already formidable training skills on German Shepherds. This changed everything and he was soon counted among the top trainers in the United States. He even founded his own dog training business, “Christopher Banke Protection Dog Trainer” when he was just 19. That business, located in northern Vermont, is still going strong, years later.
Over the three decades since, Christopher Banke has trained and coached many great dogs. He also has helped to coach and mentor a large number of other competitive dog handlers. Christopher founded his own breeding kennel at one point and many of those dogs went on to compete and win at a number of local, state, regional and national level competitions. A significant number of the dogs from his breeding kennel have also gone on to work in both law enforcement and entertainment.
